Ghefari Dulapandan Premier Swim School (GDPSS) is committed to providing an environment that is safe and supportive and safeguards and promotes the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk, within a culture that allows all customers to feel confident about raising concerns about their own and others’ safety and well-being.
GDPSS takes all reasonable steps to ensure that staff working with children, young people and adults at risk within the organisation are competent and safe to do so, through following stringent recruitment procedures, providing training, enforcing a staff code of conduct and having clear procedures to follow when concerns are raised. We regard safeguarding as everyone’s responsibility and, where appropriate, work in partnership with other organisations to effectively safeguard and promote the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk.
GDPSS recognises that all children, young people and adults at risk have an equal right to protection and we are committed to applying the standards laid out in our Safeguarding statement consistently, regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation.
GDPSS operates a no-bullying policy. This includes bullying by parents, teachers or other children. Amongst other things, the policy aims to ensure that unrealistic expectations are not placed on any child.
The aim of the swim school is to maximize the potential of all swimmers in accordance with their own wishes.
